I like Stoner Rock, I like it enough that I will even accept the moniker they tried to give themselves. By them I mean Queens Of The Stone Age and their compatriots. I tried in this instance to avoid Metal influences so sorry there is no Sleep or their unforgotten ilk.

To the handful of people that read this. I have a new project. It in the side bar, but it can be summarized as follows:

The goal is rather simple. I like Last.FM, and I like to support Internet Radio Services that curate good assortments of music. What I do not like is not being able to track these play histories with the music I listen to on-demand.

I am making myself a Scrobbler that will, at least initially, allow me to Scrobble DI.FM stations. It will be browser based first, and then I will make an Android version. I do not own an iPhone (or a Windows phone for that matter), and I probably will not ever. However, if it turns out to be viable I will expand to other Internet Radio services and other devices.

Cool story right? Right.

When I originally made my mix centered on Muse, I had peppered it with modern Indie Rock standards. Deciding I wanted to fully explore one idea, rather than touch on two, I reworked that original playlist and made this one instead. The following is the result of that second list. I think it flows really well with maybe one or two exceptions.

It's no secret that sometimes all I want to hear is some adrenaline fueled, hyper aggro music. There are two main sources I get this, Post-Grunge/Alternative Metal, which has been dying a very slow death, and Drum'n'Bass. This mix is an assortment of the former. It's a treading no new ground, but the entire style of music hasn't really gone anywhere new in a decade. Therefore I absolve myself of any responsibility for that anyways. If you like music that can be-lovingly called "Butt Rock" then give this a spin.

They are the worst, instead just get Spotify Premium and make all your playlists Offline Available. Well here's what I listened to in 2013.

This blog has gone through another purge, and I have removed all of that what I shall dub, "promises of content". Either I create content or I don't, simple as that. As my update to my 2011 Favorites indicated, I did have the start for similar ready for 2012 and 2013. However, my views on some things have changed since then, and rather than try and get into my mindset at the time, I made this purely by the meritocracy of how much I listened to it. I fortunately Scrobbled almost everything I listened to. So I can, with a bit of the magic of an API, look at what my Top Artists and Tracks were from 2012, which is precisely what I did here.
